Subject Description
This subject introduces students to the basic functions of organisations and management, and to the internal and external environments in which contemporary organisations operate. The major principles and theories of management are investigated and applied such that students can make informed judgements regarding contemporary managerial tasks and decision- making. The implications of innovation, sustainability, ethics and other current issues on organisations and decision making are critically explored. Students will develop skills in academic and professional written and verbal communication, whilst working collaboratively in a group.Textbook(s)
