Admission Processes and Forms for Domestic Students

Step 1: Check that you are you eligible for admission to AIHE’s Bachelor of Business

You are eligible to be considered for a place in an AIHE undergraduate course if you have one of the following:

  • an Australian secondary education qualification, or equivalent qualification from an overseas institution;
  • a completed or partly completed qualification at AQF level 6 (associate degree) or above from an Australian University or an equivalent higher education qualification;
  • a completed Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification at AQF Level 4 (Certificate IV) or above;
  • a Special Tertiary Admission Test (STAT) percentile rank or equivalent;
  • a completed foundation studies or preparatory program that is recognised for admission purposes.

The AIHE Admissions Procedure, accessible in Academic Policies and Procedures section on AIHE Policy and Procedure Directory page, outlines alternative admission pathways which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Alternate qualifications or evidence of learning;
  • Mature Age Entry; and
  • Special entry and educational access schemes including but not limited to applicants with physical disabilities, applicants from geographically isolated areas, applicants with economically disadvantaged backgrounds and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants.

Step 2: Apply for Admission

  • Complete the relevant Application Form and Application for Credit Form where applicable; these forms are accessible under Student Forms  on AIHE Policy and Procedure Directory.
  • Obtain certified copies of all relevant documents to support your application.
  • Submit the application form and all required documents (as per the application form)

Step 3: Receive your Letter of Offer or other advice

AIHE will process your application and advise you of the outcome in accordance with the AIHE Admissions Procedure.

You will receive 3 documents

  • Letter of Offer
  • Letter of Offer Explained
  • Acceptance of Offer

The Letter of Offer contains important terms and conditions that you must be aware of. Please read the Letter of Offer and the accompanying Letter of Offer Explained.

Step 4: Accept the Offer

Once you are sure that the details in the Letter of Offer are correct and that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of the Letter of Offer you should complete, sign and date the Acceptance of Offer, make the commencement payment (as per Step 5 below) and return the Acceptance of Offer and evidence of commencement payment made:

Step 5: Make Commencement Payment

Details of commencement payment are contained in Section 6 and payment options can be found at Section 9 of the Acceptance of Offer form. Please refer to Section 10 of the Acceptance of Offer form for AIHE refund conditions. Refunds Policy and Procedure are also accessible on AIHE Policy and Procedure Directory under Operational Policies and Procedures section.
